More to come very soon on our travels to Kunming in the Yunnan Province, which is located in south western China and borders Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam. HIV antibodies were first detected in injecting drug users from Yunnan’s western border in 1989; since then Yunnan has had more HIV-infected people than any other Chinese province.  In China more than 85% of HIV positive people were reported from Yunnan.
